|Welcome to my wild garden.
My home studio is surrounded by wildflowers, weeds, hops and an occasional deer and moose. I began an interest in clay and ceramics by watching my grandmother paint intricate designs and gold on fine bone china. As an adult, I determined to learn to throw pottery on a wheel and have been building my skills and my family's collection of dishes, bowls, plates, tea pots, cups and more. Each dish I make is hand thrown, carved and glazed. My specialty is functional ware. A few pieces of my work are sold at Riverpark Square in the Made in Washington store in downtown Spokane. My woodworking husband has helped my garden grow by building my studio space, creating my raku kiln, creating custom tools and fixing whatever breaks.
